Where are you located?
After closing our storefront in 2020, we relocated from our 10th & Pecan location to our home bakery in NW McAllen.
How much are your cakes?
Pricing begins at $3.50 to $8 a serving, however, because all of our cakes are priced individually by the complexity of their design, we do not have a standard price list. Prices vary depending on complexity of design, whether it is a tiered, shaped or 3D cake and whether we are using buttercream or fondant as well as the amount of details on the cake.
A delivery and setup fee may be charged based on setup and distance traveled.
For estimated pricing, Contact Us with your specialty cake requests or to schedule a consultation for a price quote.

How much are your Wedding Cakes?
Our wedding and special event cakes start at $6.50 a serving. Our wedding cakes include 3 layers of cake and 2 layer of filling(s) and are iced in our delicious signature buttercream frosting. Specialty flavors and fillings as well as fondant covered cakes require an additional fee.
Time and design variations are the most costly factors in determining the final price of your Wedding/Quinceanera cake, so we recommend setting up a Cake Design Consultation to discuss your event and design details and preferences.
Can I have a different flavor & filling for each tier?
Yes, depending on its design you may choose a variety from our selection of delicious flavors if your cakes design allowes for it.
For example, on sheet cakes half of your servings could be vanilla cake with strawberry mousse filling, and the other half could be chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling in half and full sheet cakes only.
You could also have one tier Raspberry cake with raspberry mousse filling , another tier chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache mousse, and another tier almond cake with cream cheese filling.
When you pick more than one cake flavor, you need to be aware that you will probably not have any control over who gets what, if your cake is served as dessert.
Banquet halls typically pass out cake as people are mingling and do not ask about flavor preferences. As long as you are okay with your guests getting whatever is available, then feel free to order different cake flavors.
I’m having a larger wedding and I’m interested in a small wedding cake and “extra cakes” in the back for the rest of my guests, is that possible?
Yes! Extra serving “kitchen cakes” are available. Kitchen cakes are round or sheet cakes made to supplement the wedding cake and delivered to the kitchen staff when the wedding cake is delivered. “Kitchen Cakes” may also be displayed with a simple design (additional cost may apply). This is especially recommended for Quinceaneras and Sweet 16s. Many brides also like to turn their “Kitchen Cakes” into Groom’s Cakes.
I am on a budget, how could I make my order more cost effective?
We would recommend ordering a smaller “display” cake and having an “extra servings” Kitchen cake to serve the remaining guests. Click HERE for more information.
Do you make Fake/Faux cakes?
Yes!
Is a Faux cake right for me?
Faux cakes are not always the best way to save on your wedding cake, it is however a great alternative when you have a small amount of guest to serve, but would like a Grand looking cake, they are also a great idea when you love the look of a fondant covered cake design but don’t want to serve a fondant cake to your guests. Don’t hesitate to ask us if a faux cake is right for you. We are always more than happy to help you find the best options for your event.
Do you deliver?
Delivery is available for a fee. Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled from McAllen, TX to your location. Our minimum delivery fee is $15 plus $2.25 per mile one way for local cake deliveries in and around the McAllen area. Additional fees increase depending on distance and type of delivery. Deliveries to South Padre Island have a minimum $150+ delivery fee
Sorry, We DO NOT SHIP cakes.
Can I pick up my own cake?
While it is generally not a problem for clients to pickup & transport smaller cakes, birthday cakes and other custom cakes, self-transporting any cake is at your own risk.
Honey’s Cakes does not recommend clients self-transport cakes over 3 tiers or taller or any cake more than 1/2 hour. Honey’s Cakes is not responsible for any damage that may occur to any client-transported cake once it has left our home bakery. No refunds will be given if cake is damaged. A fee may be charged to fix any cake which has left our bakery in the hands of a client.
How do I transport a large or tiered cake?
Any time you pick up a cake from us, it is always a good idea to have a large flat area in your vehicle dedicated for transporting the cake. We are always happy to carry your cake out to your car. Putting cakes on people’s laps is usually recommended. If it fits, the floor of your car in the back is often the best place for putting a cake, if cool weather permits. The front seat of a car with a towel is also recomended. For full sheet or tiered cakes, you should make arrangements to pick up your cake in an SUV or van. A bath towel is strongly advised. It will allow us to level out any surface for easier transportation.
Self-transporting any cake is at your own risk, ESPECIALLY IN THE VALLEY HEAT ANYTIME OF YEAR. Heat is a cakes worst enemy. Any temperature over 73°F may affect a cake negatively on delivery or at its destination. QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS? Contact us
